I’m excited to be attending the HNSNA 2025 Writers Conference in Las Vegas! I’m meeting fellow writers and talking with agents about the Jamestowne Chronicles and other story ideas I’m thinking about. Had a good time meeting other American and international authors like Natasha Lester, whose latest novel is The Mademoiselle Alliance, a compelling story based on Marie-Madeleine Méric, a member of the French Resistance in World War II. Highly recommend this read!
The Historical Novel Society’s writers conference is ‘the conference for historical fiction’! And I’m here!
My publisher, Austin Macauley Publishers, nominated The Settler’s Passion for an award in the historical romance category at the conference, and I joined a selection of specially invited authors to sign books during the conference Big Book Signing Event. I’m so grateful for everyone who purchased The Settler’s Passion and asked me to sign their book — it’s always a pleasure to sign books for readers!
Attending this conference has given me loads of new story ideas. I can’t wait to share some of them with you, even if they never turn into a complete novel. In the meantime, I’m working on the next chapter in Elizabeth and Thomas’s rocky relationship for the next installment of the Jamestowne Chronicles, The Settler’s Pride. No spoilers here, but look for unexpected trouble to visit the Harcourt household.
Thank to the HNSNA 2025 Conference staff and to Caesar’s Palace Las Vegas for hosting the conference. Extra special thanks to the front desk agent who saw how tired I and my husband were as we checked in at 1 am and upgraded our room to a suite! And thanks to Pronto by Giada for having milk for early morning protein shakes!
