Deborah Hocutt’s Passing

It’s with great sadness that I, Deborah’s husband Daniel, share news of Deborah Hocutt’s passing. She died on Thanksgiving Day, November 27, surrounded by her daughters and me following a challenging illness and just over two weeks of home hospice care. She was 66 years old. You may read her obituary.

Before she grew too ill to write, she completed most of the edits on the second book in the Jamestowne Chronicles. When some of our immediate grief has subsided, I’ll review progress and consider whether the book might be published posthumously. She’s also outlines and completed some of the work on the third book in the trilogy.

It’s my hope that you enjoy her work, and that we can bring the first book in the trilogy back into print. For now, however, we’ll mourn her passing with you.
